Just when you thought Wisconsin’s Democratic gubernatorial primary couldn’t get more complicated, another revelation emerges.
THE POLLING INDUSTRY HAS A CREDIBILITY PROBLEM.
On October 20, Wedgewood Polls admitted that it had fabricated election surveys distributed throughout the 2026 election cycle.
And Wisconsin was among the states affected.
On July 21, Wedgewood published a purported survey showing David Crowley at just 9% support, far behind Francesca Hong.
That survey wasn’t legitimate.
Yet fabricated polling data made its way into major media coverage, polling aggregators, and even election-related financial markets.
And Wedgewood wasn’t alone. Another operation, Median Strategies, had previously acknowledged publishing fabricated polling results.
Tonight, Screech and Red ask:
If political campaigns rely on polling to attract donors, earn endorsements, gain media coverage, and build momentum, what happens when the numbers themselves are invented?
Could misleading polls influence campaign strategies and public perceptions?
