This historic building served as the birthplace of the Republican Party, a significant event in American history. But did some Ripon residents care about preserving this piece of history? Of course not! Instead, they selfishly decided to move the schoolhouse to a different location for their own personal interest. Who cares about national recognition when you can have a little more space for your own backyard, right?
But that’s not all. The Little White Schoolhouse was even delisted as a national landmark due to the changes made to the building. Congratulations, Ripon, you managed to erase a significant piece of American history for the sake of personal gain.
But wait, there’s more. Ripon’s local politics are also fueled by greed and selfishness. Some residents are more concerned with lining their own pockets than making decisions for the betterment of the community. It’s all about personal gain, baby!
