Highly respected investigative journalist Lara Logan has dropped a bombshell theory for the upcoming midterms. In a September 30 post on X, Logan asked: “What are the chances Republicans are going to blame Pres. Trump for any losses in the midterms so they can justify impeaching him & then go after MAGA?” Logan went on to explain, “They would love nothing more than to crush this movement. Establishment Republicans despise the people as much as the left does & they would do anything to get power back…”
The post gained the attention of conservative podcaster Joe Oltmann. He responded the same day agreeing with Logan. “They really think they can take back control from the people,” he said. “How is that even shocking at this point? You watched them slow walk every fight that actually mattered, and now with midterms right in front of their face they suddenly cannot find the gas pedal… and yet somehow they will find plenty of energy to lecture you about unity the day after they lose seats they never fought for.”
Oltmann went on to say the reality is “this was never Dems versus Republicans for these people. It is the uniparty versus you. They need MAGA weak enough to blame and Trump isolated enough to discard, and a blue wave they can point at like it proves the people rejected him when the real story is they never intended to win for you in the first place.”
Oltmann then asked a simple question: “Show me where the establishment spent political capital like their lives depended on keeping this country in the hands of generational Americans. You cannot.”
Oltmann ended his statement emphasizing the importance of getting out to vote in every race, saying if Republicans lose the establishment will step in the moment that happens. “Do not hand them the excuse they are shopping for, because the second you stay home they will tell you the people rejected Trump when what they really rejected was a paper tiger party that refused to fight.”
The following day, Logan provided an update to her theory through a video posted on X.
Along with reiterating some points from the first post, Logan added, “If you are a Trump guy, they don’t like you. The establishment of the party does not like you, they don’t want you to win.” She also pointed out that this is what happened with the TEA Party movement and the GOP won’t just go after Trump, they will go after his supporters as well.
Logan then turned to saying the people who couldn’t care less about you and don’t want accountability are the ones who want you to stay home.
She ended her video by asking people to “put some pressure on the Republican officials and leaders that you know. Ask them the tough questions because what are they doing to help? Or are they just getting ready to sit back and blame Trump? Because it certainly looks that way and that’s disturbing.”
Three days later, Logan posted another video on X with the caption “Deep state loyalties do not run along party lines.” In this video, she expanded on her theory, saying this midterm is looking similar to the 2020 election.
Logan provided the following explanation: In 2016, the mainstream media was used to carry the message Hillary Clinton was destined to become President. When she lost, they switched tactics in 2020 when the deep state led the steal from the “so-called conservative media” like Fox News, pointing out an example that Fox News was the network that had to call Arizona for Biden with less than 10% of vote counted then their anchors stopped giving Trump “the benefit of the doubt.” In 2024, they went back to serving the legacy media.
Logan then said after Trump won in 2024, they began to unleash their assets on the conservative side. She said The assault on the midterm elections, in terms of propaganda, is being run “in large part from the so-called right, from the so-called conservatives…”
She ended by encouraging viewers to “make up your own mind, think for yourself, don’t take things at face value, and most of all don’t let them steal your vote by discouraging you to the point where you just stay home.”
