Archaeologist discovers ancient ritual sites in Mexico with online map

Takeshi Inomata stumbled across a Light Detection and Ranging map (LiDAR) online last year that was free to use. It covered 4,400 square miles of the Mexican states of Tabasco and Chiapas.

Recently Green Lake has made (LiDAR) of the area available.  What mysteries will be unearthed like this locally?  We are currently assessing the GL digital files in comparison to other data available for an upcoming story.  Stay tuned to Ripon Common Sense for more!
